Maybe I’m hormonal, but I’m sitting at my desk with gumdrop tears streaming down my cheeks looking at a slideshow of inspiring acts of kindness ( below.) Here is one picture from it: the gal on the right helped her competitor during a race and literally half-carried her to the finish line…and then she let the injured racer cross the tape before her. C’mon! Who has the wherewithall to think like that during a RACE, with adrenalin pumping, expectations, pressure? It’s not just the great sportsmanship here that strikes me, it’s the context. Young lady, someone raised you right – you really have your eyes on the prize.
